Seamless Large-Format Textile Printing: Introducing the “TS330-1800” to the Sublimation Transfer Printer Lineup
Mimaki is expanding its sublimation transfer textile printer portfolio with the launch of the TS330-1800, capable of printing materials up to 1,940 mm wide. The equipment enables seamless printing for applications such as curtains, upholstery, and sports uniforms, while maintaining high image quality and consistent productivity. The new inks expand the color gamut, ensuring more vibrant designs and greater flexibility in textile production. The model will be available globally starting January 2026.
Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tōmi City, Nagano Prefecture; President and CEO: Kazuaki Ikeda) is expanding its sublimation transfer inkjet printer lineup with the TS330 series. A new 1.9-meter model, TS330-1800, will be introduced, with sales scheduled to begin in January 2026.
The TS330 represents Mimaki’s flagship textile printer series, equipped with a high-density, high-resolution print head and proprietary imaging technology. The TS330-1600, a 1.6-meter model launched in 2022, has been widely appreciated across multiple production environments—including apparel, sports uniforms, interior fabrics, and textile signage—thanks to its high image quality and productivity delivered by its advanced print engine.
The new TS330-1800 supports a maximum print width of 1,940 mm. It inherits the high image quality and stable productivity established by the TS330-1600 while addressing the needs of larger-scale textile production.
- Applications for Interior Fabrics: The printer enables wide-format textile printing, allowing large fabrics such as curtains and upholstery to be printed on a single wide piece of material. This eliminates the need for sewing multiple panels or complex pattern matching processes, providing the premium finishing value of seamless, single-piece production made possible by large-format printing.
- Applications for Sports Uniforms: When producing team uniforms, body panels of different sizes (S–XL) can be arranged efficiently side-by-side, improving layout flexibility. The process of arranging player names and numbers also becomes significantly easier and faster.
Expanded Color Expression with New Ink Options
To further expand design possibilities, Mimaki has added new violet and orange inks to the lineup. These improve the reproduction of deep blue-violet tones and vivid high-contrast orange, enabling a wider color gamut.
Additionally, higher-density fluorescent pink and fluorescent yellow inks are now available, offering enhanced visibility and color saturation. These are particularly suited for branding-focused applications, such as sportswear and textile signage.
With a total of 11 ink colors available, including the newly introduced options, users can configure up to 8 colors depending on their application requirements. This flexible configuration supports the diverse needs of textile printing businesses, whether using the 1.6-meter or 1.9-meter models.
Availability and Market Expectations
The TS330-1800 will go on sale starting January 2026. Combined annual global sales of the TS330-1600 and TS330-1800 models are expected to reach approximately 500 units per year worldwide.
The new models will be progressively unveiled through invitation-only exhibitions, organized through Mimaki’s sales network in Japan and international markets.
With its management vision “Something New, Something Different,” Mimaki Engineering continues to pursue technological innovation aimed at delivering the “beauty and speed” demanded by its customers.
