Mimaki Profile Master III
Advanced colour management system
Mimaki Profile Master III (MPM3) colour-management software provides upgraded colour representation with excellent colour reproducibility
- Advanced device profile creation functionality
- “Mimaki Expand Color” for excellent color reproduction
- Accurate color matching between multiple printers
- Consistent color reproduction across different printer models
- Calibration to maintain print color quality over time
- Easy-to-use interface
MPM3 creates and edits high-quality ICC profiles for Mimaki printers
Device ICC profiles optimize and standardize print output across all media and inks, improving the printer’s color rendering.
MPM3 supports “Mimaki Expand Colour”, a new input profile of RasterLink6, providing excellent color reproduction with high-contrast color tones:
High-contrast color tones make prints more visually impressive
High density and strong color reproducibility, suitable for outdoor signage
Ease of Use
Intuitive interface:
No color management knowledge is required. Easy-to-follow wizard.
Simple device profile creation.
Useful functions for easy profile customization:
Grey Component Replacement (GCR) technology for black color can be easily adjusted to meet customer requirements.
Color Matching
Calibration
Maintain consistent print color quality on a single printer by measuring color differences using a colorimeter. This is an ideal solution for repeat orders:
- The color printed by an inkjet printer can be affected by factors such as printhead replacement or changes in environmental conditions
- The MPM3 calibration function adjusts the device profile to reproduce the original color
- No color management knowledge is required: color differences are automatically calculated by measuring color charts with a colorimeter.
Because the differences are expressed numerically, anyone without specialized knowledge can identify and correct color variations.
Equalization
Color matching between identical printer models:
- Color differences between multiple printers* are easily equalized by measuring color charts for precise color matching
- This capability allows the same image to be printed on multiple printers with identical color quality
- Enables completion of large batch orders within shorter timeframes
Emulation
Color matching between different printer models:
- The new emulation function reproduces equivalent colors across different printer models and brands
- Color matching with a target printer is possible regardless of its model or brand
- Even after replacing a printer, the color produced by the previous printer can be reproduced with the new Mimaki printer
- Measures the color charts of a printer using a colorimeter, eliminating manual color matching
Difference between “Equalization” and “Emulation”
Equalization: eliminates color differences between identical models – the printer model, ink set, media, and resolution must be identical.
Emulation: allows color synchronization between different models – regardless of brand, model, ink set, media, or resolution.
