Unique Silver Metallic Ink for Glossy or Matte Finishes

Metallic Ink

metallic inkMimaki Metallic Control (MMC)
MMC (Mimaki Metallic Control) is a dedicated system for metallic printing, based on the unique “Surface Imaging” technology developed by Mimaki.

When used separately, MMC technology allows for the printing of metallic ink with an intense glossy, mirror-like effect, while the matte version offers a metallic texture with low reflection, thus expanding creative possibilities.

Texture and relief (emboss) effects can be achieved by adjusting the jet ink concentration. The resulting textures change their appearance depending on how light reflects off the surface, providing a stronger visual impact.

Additionally, colored metallic effects can be created by printing color inks over the metallic ink layer. By combining metallic, colors, and colored metallic effects, premium designs with high quality and visual impact can be realized.

High-Quality Industrial Construction

UJF-7151 plus

Offers high precision in printing. To reduce vibrations of the printing unit, the print bed moves during printing instead of the Y-bar. Two ball screws are mounted on both sides of the table to facilitate its movement.

In addition, four motor-driven legs are installed under the table to maintain a perfectly horizontal position when the table is raised or lowered. This system allows for more precise ink drop placement and ensures superior print quality.

Continuous Printing Functions

Maintains high levels of productivity.
In the event of a nozzle failure that cannot be resolved through maintenance functions, printing can continue using another available nozzle, without loss of productivity or reduction in image quality.

Ink Circulation System
The ink circulation system, integrated into the print head, reduces pigment sedimentation and ensures stable ink jetting. Furthermore, it eliminates air bubbles that can block the nozzles. Consequently, the frequency of nozzle cleaning operations is reduced, leading to lower operating costs and more stable printing.

MAPS4 – Advanced Pass System

(MAPS4)

Mimaki’s unique anti-banding function, MAPS4, represents an improved version of the MAPS3 system. To prevent the appearance of the banding effect, the edges of the print passes are overlapped, and areas prone to banding are printed with a reduced number of ink drops.

MFD1 — Mimaki Fine Diffusion 1

mfdiDithering is an image processing technique used to transform graphic data for inkjet printing. However, classic dithering methods based on pattern or error diffusion can generate visual noise, leading to uneven colors or abrupt tone transitions, even on high-performance printing equipment.

The new RasterLink 6 software integrates the patented MFD1 (Mimaki Fine Diffusion 1) technology, which reduces this noise through a hybrid process combining pattern dithering with error diffusion. The result is superior print quality with more uniform tones and cleaner images.

MFD1 is available for RasterLink version 4.0 or later.

Environmentally Friendly Technology

  • UV LEDs have a longer lifespan and consume less energy compared to conventional UV lamps.
  • Less material waste and elimination of unnecessary stock through on-demand printing, directly onto the substrate.
  • No disturbing odors and no excessive noise during operation.
